Sophia Bush, born July 8, 1982, is an American actress, producer, activist and podcast host. She rose to fame starring as Brooke Davis on The WB/CW’s One Tree Hill, where she appeared from 2003 to 2012. Bush went on to star in films including John Tucker Must Die, The Hitcher, The Narrows, Marshall and Incredibles 2, before returning to television as Detective Erin Lindsay on NBC’s Chicago P.D. from 2014 to 2017. More recently, she led the CBS medical drama Good Sam and joined the cast of Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Cass Beckman.

Outside of acting, Bush has become one of Hollywood’s most outspoken activists. She is a founding member of the Time’s Up movement, co-founded the nonpartisan civic engagement initiative I am a voter., and hosts the Work in Progress podcast. She has long advocated for women’s rights, LGBTQ+ equality, voting access and other social causes while continuing to expand her work as a producer and entrepreneur.
