Benji Madden<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a> may be best known as a member of Good Charlotte, but in recent years, he\u2019s also been in the spotlight as Cameron Diaz<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s husband and the father of their three children<\/a>. The couple, who married in 2015, have since welcomed daughter Raddix<\/strong><\/a>, son Cardinal<\/strong>, and their youngest, Nautas<\/strong>, while keeping much of their family life private. As Cameron returns to acting and Benji continues his work in music and production, here are five things to know about him.<\/p>\n Benji<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and his identical twin brother, Joel Madden<\/strong><\/a>, co-founded the band Good Charlotte<\/span><\/span> in 1996 in Maryland. The group rose to mainstream success in the early 2000s with hits like \u201cLifestyles of the Rich & Famous,\u201d \u201cThe Anthem,\u201d and \u201cGirls & Boys,\u201d largely from their breakthrough album The Young and the Hopeless<\/em>.<\/p>\n The band became a defining pop-punk act of the era, with Benji serving as guitarist and backing vocalist while also contributing to songwriting and production.<\/p>\n Beyond his work with Good Charlotte<\/span><\/span>, Benji<\/span><\/span> has built a career as a songwriter and producer for other artists. He co-wrote and produced songs for Hilary Duff<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u2019s 2005 compilation album Most Wanted<\/em>, including \u201cWake Up\u201d and \u201cBreak My Heart.\u201d<\/p>\n He has also worked with bands like 5 Seconds of Summer<\/span><\/span>, contributing to tracks such as \u201cAmnesia,\u201d and collaborated with All Time Low<\/span><\/span>, among others. Over the years, Madden has expanded his role in the music industry through writing, producing, and mentoring newer artists.<\/p>\n He was a coach\/judge during the 2015-2016 season, as well as working with The Voice: Kids<\/em> that same year. He judged with his brother Joel, as well as Seal<\/strong> and Keith Urban<\/strong> on the panel.<\/p>\n The couple began dating in May of 2014 and became engaged just before Christmas of that year. The pair then shocked pals with a surprise wedding<\/a> on Jan. 5, 2015 at her home in Beverly Hills. In 2016, Cameron told Andy Cohen<\/strong> on his SiriusXM radio show that, “The first thing I said when I first met my husband was, ‘He’s hot.’ How come I didn’t know this before? We had never been in the same circle.” She added that,\u00a0“It was one of those things where everyone tells you, ‘You just know when you know.’ I was like, ‘What does that mean?’ Oh, I get it.
