Simone Biles<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Jonathan Owens<\/strong><\/a> are their best cheerleaders! The Olympic gymnast and professional football player exchanged vows during a courthouse wedding<\/a> in Houston, Texas, in April 2023. Two weeks later, the couple tied the knot, again, at their romantic wedding ceremony<\/a> in Cabo, Mexico. For the first wedding, Simone and Jonathan displayed their good looks and incredible style in a gorgeous photo carousal of the big day on Jonathan’s Instagram<\/a>. “My person, forever \u2764\ufe0f\ud83d\udc8d#TheOwens #itsofficial,” he wrote alongside the snaps, which included a look at Simone’s\u00a0stunning first Galia Lahav\u00a0<\/strong>gown<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As the supportive hubby that he is, Jonathan flew to Paris to cheer on Simone during the 2024 Olympics \u2014 and he even wore a T-shirt with her face on it, solidifying him as her biggest fan. To learn more about the NFL player, read on!<\/p>\n

He started his career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018<\/h2>\n

Unfortunately, Jonathan was injured before the 2018 season even began. It was his last week of offseason activities when Jonathan tore his ACL during a drill. \u201cI\u2019m just laying on the ground crying because I don\u2019t even know how that works. I\u2019m thinking, I came all the way here and got hurt,\u201d he told News Press Now<\/em><\/a> in July 2019.\u00a0But the Cardinals didn’t give up on him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m laying in the training room, towel on my head, and this guy from the front office comes down, taps me on the shoulder and says, \u2018We were noticing what you were doing out there.\u2019 He told me, \u2018I can guarantee you two things: We\u2019re gonna take care of you for this season and you\u2019re gonna come back stronger from this. It\u2019s just gonna depend on the work you put in,'” Jonathan told the site. “I took that to heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

He joined the Houston Texans roster in December 2021<\/h2>\n

Jonathan was scooped up by the Houston Texans in September 2019, one month after being waived by the Cardinals. Originally signed as a member of their practice squad, Jonathan signed a reserve\/future contract in January 2020. He was a member of the practice squad, after briefly being waived in August 2021, but he was brought on to the main roster in December, and he got his first interception the day after Christmas. As of May 2023, Jonathan is a free agent, after he was placed on injured reserve after dislocating his wrist during a game.<\/p>\n

He played football for Missouri Western State University<\/h2>\n

Jonathan was a star on the Griffons. He was a second-team all-conference and all-academic player, who only missed one game during his entire college career. Jonathan\u00a0had 95 tackles and two interceptions in his final season, according to the Houston Chronicle<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
