Kellyanne Conway<\/strong><\/a> is divorcing her husband George Conway\u00a0<\/strong>after a 22 year marriage. The separated exes issued a statement about the split via Instagram on Saturday, Mar. 4 after reports began swirling that they ere ending their marriage. \u201cWe are in the final stages of an amicable divorce,\u201d the statement began \u201cWe married more than two decades ago, cherish the many happy years (and four corgies) we\u2019ve shared, and above all else, our four incredible children, who remain the heartbeat of our family and our top priority,” they also said.<\/p>\n The move comes three years after\u00a0the controversial political<\/a> consultant stepped away from her at the White House. The 56-year-old confirmed she was stepping away from her role as counselor to President Donald Trump<\/strong>. “This is completely my choice and my voice. In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama,” she said to The Washington Post<\/em><\/a>. She went on to explain that she and her husband George Conway<\/strong>, 56, are focused on their kids as the new school year approaches. “Our four children are teens and tweens starting a new academic year in the middle school high school that will be conducted remotely from home for at least a few months,” she went on. “As millions of parents nationwide know, kids ‘doing school from home’ requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times,” she also said.
