It wouldn’t be a James Bond film without a “Bond Girl<\/a>.”\u00a0No Time To Die<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>stars Daniel Craig<\/strong><\/a> in his fifth (and final) outing as James Bond, and he’s joined by French actress\u00a0L\u00e9a Seydoux<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u2014 better known as “Bond Girl” Madeleine Swann.\u00a0L\u00e9a’s Madeleine works with Bond, as well as Nomi (Lashanna Lynch<\/strong>), Eve Moneypenny (Naomie Harris<\/strong>), Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright<\/strong>), Paloma (Ana de Armas<\/strong><\/a>) and more allies to defeat Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek<\/strong><\/a>), a terrorist leader.<\/p>\n

The iconic “Bond Girl” has been played by actresses like Rosamund Pike<\/strong><\/a>, Eva Green<\/strong>, Gemma Arterton,<\/strong> Denise Richards<\/strong><\/a>, Halle Berry<\/strong><\/a>, and more. But this go around, it’s L\u00e9a, 36, who acts as Bond’s love interest\/right-hand woman in\u00a0No Time To Die<\/em>. Below, everything you need to know about L\u00e9a Seydoux.<\/p>\n

1. Lea is a French actress.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

L\u00e9a was born in Paris on July 1, 1985, and got her start in acting in French cinema in the mid-2000s. Her first major screen role was\u00a0Girlfriends\u00a0<\/em>(Mes copines<\/i>), followed by\u00a0La Consolation\u00a0<\/em>in 2007. But L\u00e9a’s breakthrough role came in 2008’s\u00a0The\u00a0Beautiful Person\u00a0<\/i>(La Belle Personne<\/em>), which earned her the 2009 Chopard Award for Best Upcoming Actress at the Cannes Film Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Years later, after starring in several Hollywood movies, L\u00e9a played a lesbian art student in the French film\u00a0Blue Is The Warmest\u00a0<\/em>Colour<\/i>. L\u00e9a received critical acclaim for the role, and she was awarded the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2013. She followed up that iconic war film with a role in\u00a0Ridley Scott<\/strong>‘s\u00a0Robin<\/em> Hood<\/em>, and then she played Sabine Moreau opposite Tom Cruise<\/strong> <\/a>in 2011’s\u00a0Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.\u00a0<\/em>A few years later, she secured her next major film role: Madeleine Swann in the 2015 James Bond film\u00a0Spectre<\/em>.<\/p>\n

As was just mentioned, L\u00e9a has been apart of the James Bond franchise for years now. She first played Madeleine in\u00a0Spectre<\/em>, the last Bond film to come out before No Time To Die<\/em>. The action-packed flick followed Bond (Daniel) and Madeleine (L\u00e9a) pitted against Ernst Stavro Blofeld\u00a0<\/em>(Christopher Waltz<\/strong>), the villainous leader of a global crime organization.\u00a0Spectre\u00a0<\/em>was released in U.S. theaters on November 6, 2015, and grossed over $800 million worldwide. L\u00e9a clearly enjoyed her stint as Madeleine in the movie, as she reprised the role six years later for\u00a0No Time To Die<\/em>.<\/p>\n

4. She also works in modeling.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

L\u00e9a obviously has a big-time career in acting \u2014 but that’s not her only success story. She’s modeled for years, having appeared in photo shoots for magazines like\u00a0Vogue Paris<\/em>,\u00a0L’Officiel<\/em>,\u00a0Another Magazine<\/em> and more. However, L\u00e9a has made it clear that she does not see herself as a model. “I’m not sure why everyone says that. I’ve done some fashion shoots, but always as an actress,” the star told\u00a0Hollywood Reporter<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>back in 2012.<\/p>\n
