together, thus post-ponding her\u00a0<em>Unbreakable\u00a0<\/em>tour. \u201cPlease understand that it\u2019s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor\u2019s orders.\u201d Janet then gave birth to baby Eissa Jan. 3, 2017. Since then, the\u00a0<em>Poetic Justice\u00a0<\/em>actress has been notoriously private about her baby boy, although she did share a photo of her newborn around the time of his birth (above).<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-10\">&#8220;My son has shown me that love, no matter how deeply you believe you have experienced that emotion, can always go deeper. Love is limitless,&#8221; told <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/magazine-feature\/8456316\/janet-jackson-interview-billboard-cover-story-bbmas-icon-award-2018\"  rel=\"nofollow\"  target=\"_blank\"  ><em>Billboard\u00a0<\/em><\/a>in 2018. &#8220;And for someone like me, raised in show business where self-concern is always a priority, how fortunate I am now to be concerned, first and foremost, with the welfare of someone else. Day after day and night after night, holding my baby in my arms, I am at\u00a0peace. I am blessed. I feel bliss. In those moments, all is right with the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-11\">Seven months after giving birth to Eissa, Janet and Wissam ended up splitting up, as the R&amp;B singer&#8217;s brother,\u00a0<strong>Randy Jackson<\/strong>, <a  href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/music\/janet-jacksons-husband-wissam-al-mana-5-things-to-know\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  >shared with\u00a0<\/a><em><a  href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/music\/janet-jacksons-husband-wissam-al-mana-5-things-to-know\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  >PEOPLE<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>at the time about the divorce and custody battle over their son. \u201cIt was quite an abusive situation,\u201d Randy claimed. \u201cIt came on later in the relationship, verbal abuse and being [made to feel like] a prisoner in her own home. No pregnant woman needs to go through being called a bitch everyday. There were things like that. That\u2019s what she went through.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-12\">Despite the weight put on her in being a single parent, Janet revealed that she chose to not employ a nanny for assistance. \u201cMy mother did it. Her mother did it. Why can\u2019t I?\u201d she stated in an interview with an Australian radio show, per <a  href=\"https:\/\/parade.com\/1295179\/shameikarhymes\/janet-jackson-son\/\"  rel=\"nofollow\"  target=\"_blank\"  ><em>Parade<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ll see. I\u2019m sure I will need someone in the future, some help here and there, but I don\u2019t have anyone [right now] and I love it. I\u2019ve always been a patient person, but there\u2019s more patience that you have to have [in motherhood] and I never knew I was as patient as I really am. He\u2019s first and foremost in my life. I get up, I go to sleep\u2014everything is about him. In addition to his love of the animated series, Janet <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=a3MECYwnk40\"  target=\"_blank\"  >shared on <em>The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon <\/em><\/a>in Feb. 2020 that her son is &#8220;incredibly musical&#8221; and plays cello and violin. She also shared that <strong>QuestLove\u00a0<\/strong>&#8212; a part of Jimmy&#8217;s band\/<strong>The Roots<\/strong> &#8212; gave little Eissa a special drum set.
