Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes, and Regina Hall, are teaming up to host this year’s Oscars. Below we break down what to know about the first time, three-person hosting gig and what it means for the ceremony.<\/h3>\n

The Oscars will make history this year, as it’s the first time the awards ceremony will have three hosts — and three female hosts to boot! Comediennes and actresses Amy Schumer<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Wanda Sykes<\/strong><\/a>, and\u00a0Regina Hall<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>are slated as the impresarios of the evening, along with the various A-listers to present the show’s most buzzed about awards.<\/div>\n
The Academy confirmed the news on Feb. 15 on Good Morning America<\/em><\/a>, as Amy joked in a video cameo she wasn’t sure who thought it was a “good idea” for her to host the ceremony. All three ladies also shared a press release, saying, \u201cWe want people to get ready to have a good time. It\u2019s been a while.”<\/div>\n
Moreover, a teaser for the event<\/a> was shared on March 8, as all three women gathered around to share wine and gab about the upcoming show. “Ladies, are you ready to host the Oscars?” Amy, 40, asks the other two. “Yeah, we’re gonna crush this,” says Regina, 51, as Wanda, 58, adds, “We just have to do better than last year’s host.”<\/div>\n
