Bruce Willis’<\/a><\/strong> has his whole family by his side while battling his frontotemporal dementia. In 2023, the Willis brood released a statement explaining that his condition had taken a turn for the worse. The message was signed by Bruce’s ex-wife Demi Moore<\/strong><\/a>, their three daughters, Rumer<\/strong><\/a>, Scout <\/strong><\/a>and Tallulah<\/strong><\/a>, and his current wife, Emma Heming<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cSince we announced Bruce\u2019s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce\u2019s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD),” the actor’s family said in a\u00a0statement<\/a> on the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration website. “Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.\u201d<\/p>\n The statement noted that there is currently “no treatment for [Bruce’s] disease,” but the family believes Bruce will continue to have a fulfilling life, especially with the support from fans. “We have been so moved by the love you have all shared for our dear husband, father, and friend during this difficult time,” the statement concluded. “Your continued compassion, understanding, and respect will enable us to help Bruce live as full a life as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n Bruce and Demi have had an amicable relationship since they divorced in 2000 after thirteen years of marriage.
