News<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>An autopsy obtained by <em><a  href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/kellie-pickler-husband-kyle-jacobs-autopsy\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  rel=\"noopener nofollow\"  data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\"  >Taste of Country <\/a><\/em>determined that his medical history at the time of death included \u201cpseudoseizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated liver enzymes, and chronic alcohol use.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-6\">Most recently, the 37-year-old released a <a  href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/2023\/08\/17\/kellie-pickler-kyle-jacobs-death-statement\/\"  >statement<\/a> to\u00a0<a  href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/kellie-pickler-breaks-silence-thanks-fans-after-husband-kyle-jacobs-death-suicide-exclusive-7644767\"  target=\"_blank\"  rel=\"noopener\"  ><em>PEOPLE\u00a0<\/em><\/a>about her late husband&#8217;s death on Aug. 17, 2023. It is notably the first time that Kellie has spoken publicly on the matter. \u201cOne of the most beautiful lessons my husband taught me was in a moment of a crisis, if you don\u2019t know what to do, \u2018do nothing, just be still,'&#8221; she said at the time. \u201cI have chosen to heed his advice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-8\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">She went on to express her gratitude for her loved ones and fans amid the somber time. \u201cThank you to my family, friends, and supporters, for the countless letters, calls, and messages that you have sent my way,\u201d Kellie added. \u201cIt has truly touched my soul and it\u2019s helping me get through the darkest time in my life. As many of you have told me, you are all in my prayers.\u201d She concluded the note be announcing the memorial plans she has for Kyle. \u201cI am planning an intimate memorial for my husband, which will happen later this fall, that is what Kyle would have wanted,&#8221; she noted.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-7\">The adorable couple walked down the aisle in 2011 and had no children together. According to Wikipedia, Kyle was born June 26, 1973 and grew up in Bloomington, Minn. Like his famous wife, he was a multi-talented musician who sang, wrote songs, and played piano and guitar.\u00a0Kellie was born on June 28, 1986, which made her hubby a full 13 years her senior.<\/p>\n<h2>The Couple Met Through Friends In 2007<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-9\">Kyle and Kellie met at a bar in 2007 through mutual friends from Nashville. While on vacation, Kyle gave Kellie a journal, an engagement ring, and a seashell with &#8220;Faye&#8221; (the name of Kellie&#8217;s late grandmother) inscribed on it. &#8220;It was like my beautiful angel, the one I call Mom, was giving us her blessing,&#8221; Kellie later wrote in a <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BR9R0b4BwlC\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\"  target=\"_blank\"  rel=\"noopener\"  >2017 Instagram post.<\/a> &#8220;Still and forever crazy in love.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-12\">The couple wound up eloping in Antigua on Jan. 1, 2011, forgoing their original plan of a massive wedding celebration in Nashville. \u201cAll we did was I packed the wedding dress and packed him an outfit,\u201d Kellie told <a  href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/2022\/06\/13\/ellen-degeneres-portia-de-rossi-boat-vacation-photos\/\"  ><strong>Ellen DeGeneres <\/strong><\/a>during a 2011 appearance, per <a  href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/celebrity\/kellie-pickler-why-i-eloped\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  rel=\"noopener\"  ><em>PEOPLE<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe totally just put faith in God that it was all going to work out, and it did, and it was the most incredible day of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>They Never Had Children<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-13\">Kellie and her hubby never had children together, but they were devoted pet parents!
