One of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>universe is finally getting their own live-action television show.\u00a0Ahsoka<\/em>, featuring Anakin Skywalker’s former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, is coming to Disney+ later this summer. The official trailer<\/a> for the series was released July 11. The character Ahsoka was introduced in the Stars Wars: The Clone Wars\u00a0<\/em><\/a>animated series. She recently made her live-action debut in\u00a0The Mandalorian<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n Lucasfilm is producing\u00a0Ahsoka<\/em>, an action-adventure, drama, science fiction series.\u00a0The show will feature the live-action debut of Ezra Bridger from Star Wars Rebels<\/em>.\u00a0HollywoodLife\u00a0<\/strong>has rounded up everything you need to know about the highly-anticipated show, including the release date, cast, and more.<\/p>\n There are the cast members confirmed to be starring in\u00a0Ahsoka:<\/em><\/p>\n Additional confirmed cast members include\u00a0Ivanna Sakhno<\/strong>\u00a0(The Spy Who Dumped Me<\/em>) as Shin Hatiand and Mary Elizabeth Winstead<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(Fargo<\/em>) as Hera Syndulla. Mary Elizabeth is married to Ewan McGregor<\/a><\/strong>, who plays Obi-Wan in the Star Wars\u00a0<\/em>universe.\u00a0Ray Stevenson<\/strong> has been cast as the villainous admiral Baylan Skoll. Ray voiced the character Gar Saxon in The Clone Wars\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Rebels<\/em>. The Rebels\u00a0<\/em>character Chopper is set to appear in Ahsoka<\/em>. Chopper is an astromech droid owned by Hera.<\/p>\n Ahsoka\u00a0<\/em>will premiere with the first two episodes on August 23, 2023. There will be eight episodes total. Ahsoka\u00a0<\/em>was first announced in December 2020 alongside\u00a0The Book of Boba Fett\u00a0<\/em>as spinoffs to\u00a0The Mandalorian<\/em>.<\/p>\n Jon Favreau\u00a0<\/strong>and Dave Filoni\u00a0<\/strong>are the creators of\u00a0Ahsoka<\/em>. They’re also executive producers with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy<\/strong>. Dave is writing the series and is also confirmed to be directing multiple episodes, including the premiere. Peter Ramsey<\/strong>, who directed the Sony animated film\u00a0Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse<\/em>, will also be directing at least one episode of\u00a0Ahsoka<\/em>, according to\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>. In a May 2022 interview with\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a>, Dave described\u00a0Ahsoka\u00a0<\/em>as “a continuous story.” He went on to say, “It is definitely driving toward a goal, in my mind, as opposed to being little singular adventures. That\u2019s what I want the character to be doing, and I think that\u2019s what fans want now. They have such a relationship with her.
