Shelby Blackstock<\/h2>\n
Shelby Blackstock is Reba’s only biological child. He was born in Feb. 1990 to her and her husband at the time, Narvel Blackstock<\/strong><\/a>. After graduating from college, he went on to become a race car driver and has enjoyed a lot of success from it. He has raced at the US F2000 National Championship, the Pro Mazda Championship and the Indy Lights.<\/p>\n Reba hasn’t hesitated to express her pride for her son over the years and did just that in a memorable Instagram post in January 2020, when he competed in the Daytona International Speedway. \u201cA mama is only as happy as her kids are. Shelby, \u2018Love getting back at Daytona International Speedway for the #roar,\u2019\u201d she wrote in the post.<\/p>\n In an October 2022 interview, Reba gave some insight into what it was like raising Shelby and admitted she never went easy on him. “When we would play games or cards, I’d never let Shelby win,” she recalled to People<\/em><\/a>. “He wouldn’t have learned anything that way. I always told Shelby, ‘I’ll always love you, but I want other people to like you. So don’t be a little jerk. Don’t be a spoiled brat.'”<\/p>\n Shelby started a family of his own when he married Marissa Branch<\/strong> in February 2022. The couple met on the dating app Tinder in 2014 and were friends for two years before they decided to start a romance. They spoke to People about their marriage and relationship after their wedding. \u201cWe\u2019ve known each other for so long, from both a \u2018just friends\u2019 to a dating perspective,\u201d they said. \u201cTackling whatever life throws our way as husband and wife \u2014 creating a family and legacy, together \u2014 excites us more than anything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n After Brandon died in August 2025, Shelby penned an emotional tribute to his late half-brother in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n “Words cannot begin to capture the tremendous loss our family has endured,” Brandon captioned his post, in part. “Yesterday, we lost a brother, a father, a grandfather, and a son. Brandon Blackstock was an irreplaceable part of our family\u2014funny, bright, and full of life\u2014and he will be deeply missed. He taught me so much, leaving behind countless cherished memories that I will hold onto forever.”<\/p>\n Coty Battles became Reba’s stepson when she married his dad, Charlie Battles<\/strong>, in 1976. He reportedly followed in his father’s footsteps when he became a wrestler but eventually settled down as a rancher. Although he’s pretty private about his life, he settled down in Waco, TX with his girlfriend Amy Huffman<\/strong>, in 2016, according to his Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n Lance Battles is Reba’s second stepchild from her fist marriage to Charlie, whom she divorced in 1987. He has kept a private life over the years, so not much is known about him. One of the most recent times he was mentioned in a publication was in his father’s obituary after he passed away from heart failure and stroke complications in 2013. At the time, Donna Granger<\/strong>, who married Charlie and became Lance and Coty’s second stepmom, was also mentioned.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Shawna Rene Blackstock became another one of Reba’s stepchildren when the artist married her dad, Narvel Blackstock<\/strong>, in 1989. Like Lance, she has led a very private life and although she’s active on Instagram, her account is private.<\/p>\n Brandon Blackstock, born in 1976, is the son of Narvel Blackstock<\/strong><\/a> and was perhaps Reba\u2019s most well-known stepchild. He made a name for himself as a successful talent manager<\/a>, working with major artists\u2014including his then-wife, Kelly Clarkson<\/strong><\/a>. Brandon and Kelly were married from 2013 until their divorce in 2021 and shared two children<\/a> together: River Rose<\/strong> and Remington Alexander<\/strong>. He also had two older children, Savannah<\/strong> and Seth<\/strong>, from his first marriage to Melissa Ashworth<\/strong>, which ended in divorce in 2012.<\/p>\n Brandon passed away<\/a> in August 2025<\/a> at the age of 48, following a private battle with cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n Chassidy Celeste Blackstock is another one of Narvel’s children who became Reba’s stepchild in 1989. She was born in 1978 and like some of her siblings, she’s chosen to keep her life as private as possible.
