Ultimately, Travis won a ring in the big game, but it&#8217;s clear she was excited to see both her sons in the big game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-3\">While Donna received much coverage during the 2023 <a  href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/feature\/super-bowl-2024-teams-halftime-show-details-and-more-5248189\/\"  >Super Bowl<\/a>, she has also <a  href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/feature\/taylor-swift-and-travis-kelce-relationship-timeline-full-guide-5166031\/\"  >made headlines<\/a> because of Travis&#8217; relationship with <strong><a  href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/celeb\/taylor-swift\/\"  >Taylor Swift<\/a>, <\/strong>who has attended multiple<a  href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/2023\/09\/24\/taylor-swift-supports-travis-kelce-mom-kansas-city-chiefs-game-video-romance\/\"  > Kansas City Chiefs games<\/a>. The &#8220;Anti-Hero&#8221; singer, 34, was seen hanging out with the NFL mom several times throughout the season. With the 2024 Super Bowl coming up, Donna is expected to cheer on Travis. Donna did recently admit that she doesn&#8217;t think that she&#8217;ll be in a box suite for the big game though. &#8220;So I have a feeling I\u2019m not in a box, I have a feeling I\u2019m in the stands. Read on to learn about Travis and Jason Kelce&#8217;s mom.<\/p>\n<h2>Donna Kelce Is Retired<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-8\">Donna was a working mom. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in communications from Ohio University and landed her first job at Bank One as an equity writer, according to her <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/donnakelce\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  ><em>LinkedIn<\/em> <\/a>page. She began working there in 1981 and enrolled in classes at Baldwin Wallace University that same year. \u00a0She graduated with her Master of Business Administration in 1983. In 2003, she became the vice president at Key Community Development Corporation, where she stayed for just over seven years. She then served Truist as the senior vice president for 12 years before retiring in 2021. Now, she appears to be a full-time NFL mom.<\/p>\n<h2>Donna Kelce Is a Dedicated Football Mom<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-9\">Donna is often spotted in the stands at her sons&#8217; football games, as depicted by her <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dkelce1\"  target=\"_blank\"  >Twitter<\/a> page, and it turns out there is little she wouldn&#8217;t do to see both of them play. She made headlines in Jan. 2023 when she watched both Travis and Jason&#8217;s Wild Card playoff matches in person, traveling more than 1,200 miles in one day to do so. She first watched Jason&#8217;s Eagles game against the\u00a0Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Florida (where Jason unfortunately lost) and then caught a plane to head to Missouri to see Travis play against the Pittsburgh Steelers.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">From Tampa Bay to Kansas City \u2708\ufe0f <\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-10\">Donna Kelce made it to see both of her sons&#39; playoff games today \u2764\ufe0f <\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-11\">(via <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NFL?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\"  target=\"_blank\"  >@NFL<\/a>) <a  href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HSA2d8WzfU\"  rel=\"nofollow\"  target=\"_blank\"  >pic.twitter.com\/HSA2d8WzfU<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-12\">&mdash; ESPN (@espn) <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/espn\/status\/1482936626003202048?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\"  target=\"_blank\"  >January 17, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-13\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-14\">Although she was a bit late, she made it in time to see Travis throw his first touchdown pass in his NFL career. She was then able to surprise him during the post-game press conference by asking him how it felt to win, per <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/01\/17\/sport\/travis-jason-kelce-mom-donna-nfl-spt-intl\/index.html\"  target=\"_blank\"  ><em>CNN<\/em><\/a>. <span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">\u201cTo finally throw a touchdown like I used to tell my mom, when I was like five years old, that I was going to eventually throw a touchdown in the National Football League, I finally got it done,\u201d he replied.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cIt only took me nine years. That\u2019s a good question though, Mom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-15\">Her one flaw is that she cannot be in two places at once, and she had to pick between watching the Eagles and Chiefs play on Sunday, Jan. 30 \u2014 the game that solidified both her sons&#8217; places in the 2023 Super Bowl. She ended up watching Jason play against the San Francisco 49ers and explained how she came to her decision in an interview with <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PJFOX8\/status\/1618021416070447104?\"  target=\"_blank\"  ><em>Fox News<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0\u201cI decided, \u2018Alright, I\u2019m gonna go to the Chiefs-Jags game, because that\u2019s never happened before, and then go to the championship for Jason,\u2019\u201d she noted. \u201cI knew I was gonna go to one for each.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Donna Kelce Hinted That She Favored One Son to Win Super Bowl LVII<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Mama Kelce has her swag ready for tomorrow&#39;s Battle of the Kelces!! <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ChiefsKingdom?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\"  target=\"_blank\"  >#ChiefsKingdom<\/a> vs <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FlyEaglesFly?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\"  target=\"_blank\"  >#FlyEaglesFly<\/a> <a  href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DsL3HSVVJC\"  rel=\"nofollow\"  target=\"_blank\"  >pic.twitter.com\/DsL3HSVVJC<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-16\">&mdash; Eighty-Seven &amp; Running (@87Running) <a  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/87Running\/status\/909206776108785664?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\"  target=\"_blank\"  >September 17, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-17\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-18\">Donna spoke about how she wanted to be supportive of both of her sons during the big game in a February 2023 interview on <em><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Casl2uCL73Y\"  target=\"_blank\"  >Today<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>&#8220;<span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">Obviously, there&#8217;s gonna be somebody that&#8217;s gonna go home heartbroken, they&#8217;re not gonna have bragging rights at the Thanksgiving table, but this is gonna be an awesome event and I&#8217;m really looking forward to it,&#8221; she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-19\">Donna admitted that <a  href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/2023\/02\/01\/travis-jason-kelce-mom-rooting-for-super-bowl-eagles-chiefs\/\"  >she may have favored one son over the other<\/a> \u2014 all because one son has given her grandchildren. &#8220;Both fanbases are absolutely amazing and give everything they have on gameday,&#8221; she gushed. &#8220;I think that Jason would say that I&#8217;m going to root for the baby of the family, which is Travis, and I keep trying to tell him, &#8216;No, you&#8217;ve given me grandchildren.&#8217; So, we&#8217;ll leave it at that. It&#8217;s always about the grands!&#8221; On a more serious note, she said she would simply root for the team with the ball.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-20\">At the end of the game, Travis won with the Chiefs. Prior to the game, Donna did say that she would greet her younger son on the field first, since Jason&#8217;s family would be in attendance at the game. While Eagles fans were disappointed for the loss, Donna was clearly still very proud of both sons.<\/p>\n<h2>Donna Kelce Raised Competitive Sons<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5020258\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5020258\" style=\"width: 620px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5020258 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Donna-Kelce-sons-super-bowl-ss-embed1.jpg?resize=620%2C506\" alt=\"Travis and Jason Kelce\" width=\"620\" height=\"506\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5020258\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Travis and Jason Kelce pose together after playing each other in 2017 (Photo: Ed Zurga\/AP\/Shutterstock)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-21\">Donna revealed her Ohio-born sons were always competitive, so the fact that they&#8217;re now competing against each other in one of the sports world&#8217;s biggest championships is no surprise. \u201cIt was always a competition. Who gets to the table first. Who\u2019s got the last chicken wing. Who\u2019s gonna get in the front seat of the car. Who\u2019s gonna take the elevator and get down to the bottom floor first,&#8221; she told the <a  href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/01\/31\/travis-jason-kelces-mom-donna-opens-up-about-super-bowl-sons\/\"  rel=\"nofollow\"  target=\"_blank\"  ><em>New York Post<\/em><\/a> in a Jan. 31 interview. &#8220;It just always was competition. And they don\u2019t like to lose. They want to win, and that\u2019s just the way they are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-22\">She went on to say that the competition only made them closer as adults. \u201cYou hate each other when you\u2019re growing up, but later on in life, you\u2019re best buds, because you\u2019ve gone through everything together, so it\u2019s kinda fun,\u201d she raved. \u201cThey competed with the best that they had in the city. \u2026 It was living right next to them, you know? In the next room. Whether it was \u2014 mini-hockey in the basement, whatever, it was always competition.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Donna Kelce Was Protective Over Her Sons as They Grew Up<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-23\">During the same interview, Donna said her sons were ready to dedicate their lives to sports from an early age. They started playing hockey at the age of 3 and lived and breathed the sport \u2014 with Jason even begging her to let him start taking the sport more seriously by moving to Canada and playing in the junior leagues. However, she was not going to let her baby go. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018There\u2019s no way I\u2019m letting somebody else raise my kid. He was good enough, he coulda played anywhere, he was really, really good. But it\u2019s like you\u2019re away from your family most of the year. It just wasn\u2019t an option,&#8221; she explained.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-24\">Travis and Jason were already huge fans of football, but Donna did not let them play until middle school for safety reasons. \u201cNobody ever says, \u2018I was the best peewee football player ever.\u2019 And it\u2019s not very well organized. So there\u2019s always suspect to parents and injuries and things like that,&#8221; she recalled. &#8220;They\u2019re not really trained coaches, so I made them wait until they were in middle school to play football.
