Rocks stars certainly have a reputation for dating a bevy of beauties and Matty Healy<\/strong><\/a>, lead singer for the British band The 1975<\/strong><\/a>, appears to be no exception. The curly-haired hunk, born in April 1989, has been linked to quite a few high-profile ladies over the years before marrying model and musician Gabbriette Bechtel<\/strong><\/a> in July 2026.<\/p>\n

From his romances with Gabriella Brooks<\/strong> and FKA Twigs<\/a><\/strong> to his brief, headline-making relationship<\/a> with Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>, take a look back at Matty’s dating history and famous girlfriends.<\/p>\n

FKA Twigs<\/h2>\n

About two years after she broke it off with Robert Pattinson<\/strong><\/a> in 2017 and a few months after splitting with Shia LaBeouf<\/strong><\/a>, British music star FKA Twigs<\/a><\/strong> landed in a romance with Matt. They made their relationship Instagram official<\/a> in February, 2020. And it was only two days after she filed a lawsuit<\/a> against Shia, with claims of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress, that Matt took to Instagram<\/a> to praise her, as he captioned a snap of FKA, \u201cLegend, Icon, LOML [love of my life].\u201d<\/p>\n

By June 2022, following the Covid lockdown, the pair had gone their separate ways, according to several reports. “There was no massive row or fallout,” a source told The Sun <\/em><\/a>at the time. “When lockdown ended they both found themselves pulled in different directions with work commitments.”<\/p>\n

Gabriella Brooks<\/h2>\n

Australian model Gabriella Brooks<\/strong> and Matt made quite a gorgeous pair when they were linked around 2015.\u00a0The Guardian<\/em><\/a> reported that they had split in 2019. As she keeps her Instagram<\/a> for her modeling photos only, Gabriella also keeps a low profile on her romances as well, and has yet to speak out on her relationship with Matt.<\/p>\n

Since the reported split, Gabriella has gone on to date Liam Hemsworth<\/strong><\/a>. They went Instagram official after Liam shared a snap of them attending the Gold Dinner charity gala for Sydney Children\u2019s Hospital Foundation in 2022, alongside brother Chris Hemsworth<\/strong> and his wife Elsa Pataky<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The couple then made their red carpet debut<\/a> in November 2022 at Liam’s brother Luke<\/strong>‘s Australian premiere of Luke\u2019s latest film, Poker Face<\/em>. Matty and the model, musician and internet personality were first linked in September 2023 after they were spotted together in New York City. Although the pair kept much of their relationship private, Gabbriette later revealed they had been trying to meet for years before finally connecting in Los Angeles. The couple quickly became a fashion-world favorite, making public appearances together at events and sharing occasional glimpses of their romance on social media.<\/p>\n

The pair announced their engagement in June 2024 after Gabbriette shared a photo of her black diamond engagement ring on her Instagram Stories, joking, “Marrying The 1975 is very brat.” Although Matty did not publicly comment on the engagement, his mother, Denise Welch<\/strong>, confirmed the news on Loose Women<\/em>, per PEOPLE<\/a>,<\/em>\u00a0calling Gabbriette “everything I would want in a daughter-in-law.”<\/p>\n

Matty and Gabbriette tied the knot on July 18, 2026, during a star-studded ceremony at Castillo del Lago, Madonna<\/strong>‘s former Los Angeles estate.
