The fourth ‘Captain America’ movie has a new leading man. Here’s the latest updates on ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ starring Anthony Mackie.<\/h3>\n

Sam Wilson is your new Captain America.\u00a0Anthony Mackie<\/strong><\/a> is taking over the role from Chris Evans<\/a><\/strong> in the fourth\u00a0Captain America\u00a0<\/em>film,\u00a0Captain America: Brave New World<\/em>. Sam has always been the Falcon in the MCU, but in the 2021 Disney+ series\u00a0The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>he decided to take on the star-spangled mantle. Fans are excited to see Anthony’s take on Captain America in the movie, which falls under Phase Five of the MCU.<\/p>\n

From the release date to the cast, here’s the latest updates on\u00a0Captain America: Brave New World<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Captain America 4\u00a0<\/em>Release Date<\/h2>\n

Captain America: Brave New World<\/em> (original titled Captain America: New World Order<\/em>) was released on February 14, 2025. The film was originally set to come out on May 3, 2024, but it was delayed by almost three months due to the writers strike<\/a> in June 2023. The movie will be available to stream on Disney+<\/a> starting May 28, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Captain America 4\u00a0<\/em>Cast & Crew<\/h2>\n

Anthony Mackie plays the titular superhero in\u00a0Captain America 4<\/em>. Anthony made his debut as Sam Wilson\/Falcon<\/a> in the second\u00a0Captain America\u00a0<\/em>movie,\u00a0Captain America: The Winter Soldier<\/em>. The actor reprised his role in\u00a0Avengers: Age of Ultron<\/em>, Ant-Man<\/em>, Captain America: Civil War<\/em>, Avengers: Infinity War<\/em>, and\u00a0Avengers: Endgame<\/em>. He previously starred in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/em> on Disney+ with Sebastian Stan<\/strong><\/a>, who plays Bucky Barnes. Sebastian is not expected to appear in the film, but he will be in\u00a0Thunderbolts<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

At least two other actors from Falcon and the Winter Soldier\u00a0<\/em>starred in\u00a0Captain America 4<\/em>. Danny Ramirez<\/strong> is back as Joaquin Torres, Sam’s army liaison, who takes on the mantle of the Falcon. Carl Lumbly<\/strong> returned as Isaiah Bradley, a Korean War veteran who received the super soldier serum. Liv Tyler<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Tim Blake Nelson<\/strong>\u00a0reprised their roles as Thaddeus Ross’ daughter Betty Ross and the villain Samuel Sterns\/Leader from the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk<\/em>.\u00a0Harrison Ford<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>joined\u00a0the MCU as Thaddeus Ross, previously played by the late\u00a0William Hurt<\/strong><\/a>. Shira Haas<\/strong>, best known for her role in Netflix’s\u00a0Unorthodox<\/i>, is playing Sabra, the first Israeli superheroine. Xosha Roquemore <\/strong>and Seth Rollins<\/strong> have also been cast in undisclosed roles.<\/p>\n

Captain America: Brave New World <\/em>was\u00a0directed by Julius Onah<\/strong>. He wrote the script with Malcolm Spellman<\/strong> and Dalan Musson<\/strong>, who worked on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/em>. Julius previously directed the movies The Girl Is In Trouble<\/em>,\u00a0The Cloverleaf Paradox<\/em>, and\u00a0Luce<\/em>. This is his first Marvel movie.<\/p>\n

Producers on\u00a0Captain America 4\u00a0<\/em>include Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige\u00a0<\/strong>and VP of Production & Development\u00a0Nate Moore<\/strong>. Kramer Morgenthau<\/strong> is doing the cinematography. He worked on\u00a0Thor: The Dark World<\/em>, as well as\u00a0Game of Thrones<\/em><\/a>. Gersha Phillips\u00a0<\/strong>is serving as the costume designer while Ramsey Avery<\/strong> is working as the production designer.<\/p>\n

What Will\u00a0Captain America 4\u00a0<\/em>Be About?<\/h2>\n

According to IMDb<\/em><\/a>, the Marvel film follows this storyline,\u00a0“Some time after the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson has now fully embraced his title as the new Captain America. Now Sam is summoned to the White House as the new president Ross wants to work with him on rebuilding the Avengers. But trouble ensues when Sam’s friend Isaiah Bradley uncontrollably tries to assassinate the president and is framed for the attempt. Now Sam and his partner Joaquin Torres must race against time to uncover the true culprit and foil an evil plot that unwittingly involves President Ross.”<\/span><\/p>\n
