Suzanne Somers<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is one of the most adored sitcom actresses<\/a> of all time. She starred in the classic show\u00a0Three’s Company\u00a0<\/em><\/a>from 1977 to 1981. The actress, 76, has also been featured on the cover of\u00a0Playboy\u00a0<\/em>and she’s starred in many other popular shows and movies, such as\u00a0She’s The Sheriff, Step By Step,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Serial Mom.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n By her side for much of her career has been her husband\u00a0Alan Hamel,\u00a0<\/strong>87. The pair have been married for nearly 50 years, and it’s clear they keep their marriage very exciting! Unfortunately, Suzanne has had a series of health issues<\/a>, including a recent battle with cancer,<\/a> but Alan revealed that she’s currently cancer-free, and taking some time to recover in a July 2021 interview with\u00a0Page Six.\u00a0<\/em>“On June 6, she got an all-clear, but cancer is tricky and we will now closely monitor everything going forward,” he said. She was working as a prize model<\/a> on the game show\u00a0The Anniversary Game,\u00a0<\/em>which Alan was the host of. Suzanne opened up about their first date in a May 2021 interview with\u00a0Daily Blast Live<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n She joked that she “did everything my mother told me not to do,” but after over 50 years together, they’re clearly still going strong. “I was 20 years old, and I thought I may never get another chance, so I had my first pot brownie. It\u2019s the first time I ever went to a man’s hotel room, and it\u2019s the first time I ever slept with a man on the first date. But we’re here all these years later. I just knew he was the one,” she said.<\/p>\n While the couple first met on\u00a0The Anniversary Game,\u00a0<\/em>Suzanne and Alan tied the knot seven years later in 1977. The\u00a0Three’s Company\u00a0<\/em>star celebrated their long-lasting love in a January 2023 Instagram post<\/a>, showing photos of them back when they first started going out next to more current pictures. “Still smiling 55 years later,” she wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n As mentioned above, Alan was a TV show host for a few game shows, including\u00a0Wedding Party.\u00a0<\/em>He also served as the host of the kids’ show\u00a0Razzle Dazzle\u00a0<\/em>and the talk shows\u00a0The Alan Hamel Show<\/em>, which\u00a0Alan Thicke\u00a0<\/strong>later took over. The couple goes live from their home bar (which they call “Big Al’s”), and the\u00a0Dancing With The Stars\u00a0<\/em>alum revealed she has a fondness for tequila. “This was so uplifting. There was no divide. Everybody was happy\u2026.
