He is arrested as a result, but Stephanie changed her mind, and she and Sean staged a fake argument to frame Emily. Emily, though, anticipated the ruse and disabled their microphones, shooting Sean in the shoulder. Upon turning against Stephanie, Stephanie revealed that she had been live-streaming the entire moment. Emily attempted to run but police take her into custody.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-16\">Emily was sentenced to 20 years in prison, where she seamlessly &#8220;adjust[s] to prison life,&#8221; the film indicated. Sean released his next book, which became a hit, and Stephanie ended up dating a man from the city.
