Man dies after fall from Galway seawall in late night tragedy
It is understood the male accidentally fell several meters from the seawall onto the rocky shore below.
A man has died after falling from a seawall in Co Galway in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services were alerted to an incident in Kinvara where a man in his 30s was reported to have fallen from a height just before midnight.

Emergency services were alerted, including the National Ambulance Service, the Doolin (Clare) unit of the Irish Coast Guard, crews from the Galway Fire and Rescue Service at Gort station and Gardai.
The tragedy occurred on the main N67 route opposite the local secondary school.
Despite efforts to save the man, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s body was later recovered from the scene by fire service and Coast Guard personnel and later removed by hearse to University Hospital Galway where a postmortem examination will be carried out.
In a statement, An Garda Siochana said: “Gardai and emergency services attended an incident in Kinvara, Co Galway in the early hours of Sunday, June 14.
“It was reported that a male fell from a height near the shoreline.
“The male, aged in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene and his body has been removed to University Hospital Galway where a post mortem will take place,” the statement said.
