One participant's stint on The Traitors has come to a sudden halt, with their journey in the grand Scottish castle ending prematurely after just 48 hours.

The fourth series of The Traitors is back and already has the nation hooked. Claudia Winkleman returned to our screens in her signature style, with New Year's Day marking the start of another season of this popular TV show.

The first episode started with a bang, as she selected her three villains for the upcoming series: Stephen, 32, Hugo, 51, and Rachel, 42, who were chosen to begin their plotting and killing.

In a major twist for this series, the producers revealed that a Secret Traitor has been selected, whose identity remains unknown to us viewers, the three regular traitors, and the innocent faithful.

With episodes airing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, viewers have plenty to catch up on, with three members already being ousted from the castle.

At the end of the second episode, the traitors were left pondering whether they should kill Ben, Reece, or Maz.

Just moments into Saturday's episode, the unfortunate individual forced to exit the show was revealed to be retiree Ben, who had only spent two days in the castle.

Ben joins nursery school teacher Netty - the first to be killed by the Traitors - and Judy, the first to be voted out at the round table.
