Just when you thought you had heard it all this year, Craig David has revealed he has the power to save injured animals.
The 39-year-old singer has been going all Supervet during lockdown.
On Jonathan Ross’ show this week, Craig talks about saving a baby bird.
He met this chick on Monday... Easter Sunday actually, and, well, let’s get Craig to pick up what happened: “I was in my gym, I heard this bang.
"I heard something smash into the glass. Next thing you know, I see this little baby chick.
“It found its way into the corner, it was still alive... hid behind one of the benches. I left it for a moment. I didn’t want to startle it.”
Don’t leave us hanging, Craig. What happened next?
“I nurtured the chick... [I was thinking how am I] going to bring this chick to its natural conclusion of being home with mother? I’m thinking, does this bird eat seeds or worms?
"But I haven’t got any worms in the kitchen.
“Do we go cashew, almond? I had seeds – another moment of divine intervention.
"I went over with the seeds and it opened its mouth to be fed by me. It trusted me.”
Stop, we’re crying now. “Finally, it made its way home,” he adds.
“It’s Easter Sunday, I felt like there was a divine... that day having a baby chick... There was some symbolism.”
Almost as if he were Born to Do It. Absolutely buzzing for the made-for-Netflix movie adaptation of this.
