John Torode makes ,awkward dig, at former contestant Andi Peters

John Torode made a bit of an awkward dig at former Celebrity MasterChef contestant Andi Peters during his appearance on Good Morning Britain today.

Speaking to hosts Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway, he and Gregg Wallace opened up about the latest series of MasterChef.

Of course, Susanna couldn't help but ask about their own GMB presenter's performance on the show back over 10 years ago in 2008.

"Wasn't Andi Peters one of your most controversial losers and you both had a different opinion about it?" she asked.

"I think the most controversial one was Hardeep Singh Kohli and Matt Dawson," Gregg replied. "But yeah we also disagreed over Andi."

Asked who backed Andi, Gregg grinned as he put his hand up.

John shrugged and quipped: "Who won?"

"Who did win that year?" Gregg asked.

John and Susanna replied that it had been Atomic Kitten's Liz Mclachlan.

"I remember," Gregg said, repeating: "I wanted Andi."

Susanna teased John: "Well Andi could be a chef in a top London restaurant now..."

Raising his eyebrows, John retorted: "You actually think Andi's going to work in a top restaurant? No way. Andi wants to be up front not out back."

Awkward...
