If we've learned anything from the mesmerizing contouring videos from Instagram, it's that we need a ring light pronto. Perfect illumination is clearly one of the biggest secrets to looking flawless. But ideal lighting varies from face to face. Some believe candlelight makes one look the most gorgeous. Mindy Kaling said in her book Why Not Me? that she takes her cues from Nosferatu by "always [trying] to appear shrouded in shadows."
