The month of May means the start of Taurus season, better weather, and (arguably) most important: some of the best beauty launches we've seen this year. With summer just around the corner, brands are starting to release products that are geared toward the warmer incoming weather. Think fun lip products, cream-based everything, summer scents, and lots of bronzers. If you're looking forward to the perfect beach day or prepping for an upcoming music festival, now's the time to stock up on items to keep you glowing.
Still, with as many exciting launches as there are right now, no one person possibly has the time to test them all — and that's where we come in. Our editors have been hard at work testing the latest crop of beauty products that have dropped in the past few months (or have yet to hit stores), and we're sharing all of our favorites. The best part? There's something for everyone. Whether you're looking for your perfect new fragrance, a product to help you fake that sun-kissed bronzed look, or the best hair mask to get you through the next few months of swimming in the ocean and pool, we've got you covered.
We rounded up the best makeup, hair, skin, body, and nail products that are worth checking out this month. Keep reading to see all of our picks.

Best Face Mist
Biodance Caviar PDRN Jelly Serum Mist ($19)
"The Biodance Caviar PDRN Jelly Serum Mist might look like any regular face mist at first glance, but upon further inspection, you'll be amazed at the formula. In the bottle, it appears to be a solid jelly, yet it comes out as an ultra-fine mist that delivers dewy hydration to your skin. It's made of a sprayable hydrogel that leaves skin nice and bouncy." — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Best Serum
Skin Better Science Ampra Volumizing Macro HA Serum ($180)
"Skin Better Science just launched a new hyaluronic acid serum right as I ran out of my old one. Was our meeting fate? After testing it, I'd say yes. Although I'm usually ride-or-die for my tried and true skin-care products, I'm glad I gave this one a chance. It's on the thick side for a serum, but my acne-prone, reactive skin loves it. It leaves my face feeling hydrated and soft, and I swear it's looking more radiant by the day." — Renee Rodriguez, senior staff writer and producer

Best Lip Treatment
Eos Limited Edition 24H Moisture Mini Super Balm in Amalfi Sunset ($11)
"If you also can't sadly jet-set to the Amalfi coast this summer, these new Eos lip balms will be able to transport you there mentally. The pack contains three new flavors: Strawberry Limoncella, Tangerine Sprtiz, and Watermelon Frosé. They all smell like summer in a bottle and pack long-lasting hydration that will keep your lips feeling soft and nourished for hours." — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Best SPF
Summer Fridays ShadeDrops ($38)
"Summer Fridays just re-launched their ShadeDrops, and I couldn't be more obsessed. It's a mineral sunscreen with SPF 50 that protects skin from the sun and doesn't leave a white cast. The formula is hydrating, blends out easily, and wears well under makeup." — Renee Rodriguez, senior staff writer and producer

Best Blush
Neutrogena Healthy Glow Creamy Blush Stick ($11)
"Although I'm already a fan of their skin-care products, this was my first time testing out Neutrogena's makeup and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. Their new blush stick is made with mango butter, which makes it perfect for the dewy look I like with my makeup. My favorite shades are Soft Mauve and Spiced Rose, both of which are easy to blend out but also buildable." — Renee Rodriguez, senior staff writer and producer

Best Lashes
Velour Lashes Self-Stick Lash Xtension Strips ($18)
"As someone who was on a competitive dance team growing up, I have a love-hate relationship with fake lashes. The lashes I used in my youth were incredibly uncomfortable but the lashes of today have been upgraded — majorly. The Velour Lashes Self-Stick Lash Xtension Strips are no different. Not only do they offer a better fit, but the self-stick strips mean you don't have to bother with the hassle of applying glue. You just press and go. I especially love this style because it's shorter on the inner corner and longer at the ends, making them super natural looking." — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Best Hair Cream
Blu and Green Rise & Set Light Styling Cream ($36)
"I'm lazy AF when it comes to my hair and there's nothing I love more than a multipurpose cream that can do it all. Enter the Blu and Green Rise & Set Light Styling Cream. It's a heat protectant, blow-dry cream, and air-dry styler wrapped into one eco-friendly aluminum tube. It doesn't weigh my fine hair down and helps tame the frizziness around my waves without any crunch." — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Best Shampoo and Conditioner
Dr. Alan Bauman Boost DHT-Control Shampoo and Weightless Conditioner System ($98)
"I'm always looking for the next best thing to help give my fine hair a boost and prevent any excess shedding. My latest obsession is the Dr. Alan Bauman Boost DHT-Control Shampoo and Weightless Conditioner System. It was developed by hair restoration physician Dr. Alan J. Bauman, MD, and targets DHT, which is the primary hormone behind hereditary thinning. The shampoo and conditioner have an easy-to-use twist-up cap (it's the little things, really), and leave my scalp feeling fresh and tingly thanks to the addition of peppermint oil." — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Best Dry Shampoo
Batiste Powder Dry Shampoo($14)
"I'm really not a huge fan of dry shampoo. I know, I know — what a thing to admit as a beauty editor. It's just that I have dark, wavy hair, so it's often hard to blend it in without ruining my texture. That's what's really cool about the new Batiste Powder Dry Shampoo. It's a concentrated, non-aerosol formula that absorbs oil and boosts volume, leaving hair feeling and looking fresh. A little goes a long way and you can blend it in by just rubbing it into your roots." — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Best Floral Perfume
Coach Cherry Parfum ($85)
"The Coach Cherry Parfum is everything I could want it to be. It's bright, tart, sweet, and so uplifting. It's a fruity scent that doesn't lean too sugary with top notes of cherry, middle notes of jasmine, and base notes of amber. I'm obsessed." — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Best Gourmand Perfume
Dime's Stay Awhile Fragrance ($62)
"If a cozy cashmere sweater could be bottled, it'd be the Dime Stay Awhile Fragrance. It has notes of toasted pistachio, tonka bean, and cashmere musk for a warm gourmand scent. It's luxe, but also inviting and soft. The bottle is also beautifully minimalist and upscale looking." — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty
