Breaking News: Fixer Upper Is Getting a Spinoff Series

Brace yourselves, Fixer Upper fans: HGTV just announced that its hit show featuring the house renovating duo of Chip and Joanna Gaines is getting a spinoff! The new show is titled Fixer Upper: Behind the Design and will function as a companion to Fixer Upper. Each 30-minute episode will feature a behind-the-scenes look at how Joanna Gaines came up with the gorgeous design featured in the related Fixer Upper episode. "We have a lot of questions about the designs and what goes on on Fixer Upper and how how we get from point A to Z when it comes to these houses, these projects from a design point," Joanna explained in a recent Instagram video (which can be seen below). She added that the new series "focuses on each project, and you get more inside scoop on how we came about with a lot of the decisions and design elements that we got to incorporate."
