Michael Graves Design is a name synonymous with adaptive products; for the past 20 years, the architecture firm has been a leader in the accessible design space, known for its thoughtful product collaborations which aim to support people of different abilities.

Now, Pottery Barn has teamed up with the design label on a collection that sees its most staple furniture pieces get reimagined — this time, through a more functional lens.

Available to shop now, the Pottery Barn x Michael Graves Design capsule is a first of its kind collection that features a wide assortment of accessible home furnishings, including everything from stylish dressers and dresser seats to sloped armchairs, bed frames, and practical nightstands.

"Collaborating with Michael Graves Design has deepened our commitment to accessible designs with the goal of enhancing the lives of consumers living with disabilities, injuries or aging in place at home without sacrificing quality or style," said Pottery Barn President, Monica Bhargava, in a release.

Donald Strum, President of Michael Graves Design, echoed similar sentiments, saying: "Design has the power to enrich all of our lives. This pioneering collaboration with Pottery Barn allows us to make beautiful and purposeful furniture available to everyone."

Pulling inspiration from the brand's beloved Sausalito, Cayman, and Farmhouse bedroom collections, the line reintroduces Pottery Barn's bestselling furniture pieces with several, thoughtful modifications; the bed frames have integrated armrests for more support, the dressers have a higher ground clearance that provides easier mobility for wheelchair users, and even the nightstands are equipped with ADA-compliant hardware.
