When Place of My Taste blogger Aniko fell for this $1,200 West Elm buffet, she did what any budget-conscious design blogger would do and re-created it with an impressive Ikea hack. The foundation for her eye-catching hack are two $99 Ikea Besta cabinets shoved together, but her smartest move comes next.

For her reclaimed wood, Aniko went to a local business that makes wood pallets and asked if they'd be willing to part with any leftover wood scraps. She left with enough free wood to complete her project. Score!
