Facebook Pulls a Venmo With Its New Messenger Payment Tool

Perhaps the folks over at Facebook were inspired by all the ridiculous Venmo charges on their newsfeed, because the social network announced its very own payment system today. Facebook Messenger users can now easily pay friends with the push of a button, no separate app required! After your friend spots you at a cash-only bar or surprises you with a morning latte, all you have to do is press a button, enter debit card info, and decide an amount to pay them back.
