The Lexus Hoverboard Is Real and Awesome — But There's 1 Catch

Marty McFly would be so proud. Lexus just released a YouTube video captioned, "We've made the impossible, possible: The Lexus Hoverboard is here." In just over two minutes, we see a hoverboard called Slide in action that uses magnetic levitation and "liquid nitrogen cooled superconductors" to float a few inches over the pavement. However, you might be sad to know you can't actually buy it — it only works thanks to magnets built into the ground at this particular skate park in Spain.
