Update: Turns out, Phuc Dat Bich lied to everyone about his name. In a Facebook post that has since been deleted, Bich, or rather Tin Lee, wrote that the entire idea started as a joke that then became an elaborate hoax. Lee convinced everyone that his name was Phuc Dat Bich with a photo of his passport that was most likely photoshopped.

Lee said that after the fake photo went viral, he concluded people should "not to trust the credibility of the media" and that "an average joe like [himself] can con the biggest news sources with ease." However, despite "conning" everyone about his name, Lee ends on a positive note to those who actually have difficult-to-pronounce names, telling them to "ignore the ignorance in those who may try to put you down."

Lee has also deleted his entire Facebook profile and the original post with the fake name and passport photo. You got us this time, Lee, but at least it got the conversation going about how people treat names they think are unusual.
