OMG! The Settlers of Catan Board Game Might Become a Movie

First came Battleship, then Ouija. And now, Settlers of Catan is the latest board game that might be adapted into a movie. Producer Gail Katz (who produced films like Air Force One and The Perfect Storm) recently snagged all the film and television rights belonging to the game. This doesn't necessarily mean that the movie will actually happen, but it's the first step in the process, and we're pretty hopeful.

If you've never head of Settlers of Catan in your life, the players' primary focus is to build a community while warding off threats from their opponents. This all goes down on the make-believe island of Catan. We're thinking that if the movie happens, it will have a Game of Thrones vibe. Are you pumped to see this adaption?
